Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in connection with the cross-device functions of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick. The provider of these technologies is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This function enables a linking of commercial target groups compiled by Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. As such, customized, interest-targeted commercials adapted for display on a terminal device (e.g. cell phone) in accordance with your previous usage and browsing behavior can be also displayed on another of your terminal devices (e.g. PC, tablet).

If you have given the appropriate permission, Google will link your web and app browser history with your Google account for this purpose. In this way, the same customized commercials will be displayed on any terminal device on which you are logged in to your Google account.

In order to support this function, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of users, which are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics Data, to identify and to compile target groups for cross-device advertising.

You can permanently object to cross-device remarketing/targeting by deactivating customized commercials in your Google account by using the link below: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/

You will find further information and data protection regulations in Google’s Privacy Policy under: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/

Google Ads and Google conversion tracking

This site uses Google Ads. Ads is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

As part of Google Ads, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click an ad delivered by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the cache of the user’s browser. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. Should the user visit certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can tell that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.

Each Google Ads advertiser has a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of an Ads advertiser. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for the Adwords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. The Adwords advertisers can find out the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and were directed to the page with a conversion tracking tag. The advertisers do not, however, obtain any information that can be used to identify users personally. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse by simply deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser settings. In doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

For more information about Google Ads and Google conversion tracking, please see Google’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case- by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. The disabling of cookies may limit your ability to use some of the functions of this website.

This website uses Google AdSense, a Google Inc. service to embed advertisements. Provider of these services are Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Adsense uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer to analyse the use of the website. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible images). These web beacons help to evaluate information, such as visitor traffic on these websites.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons about your use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is sent to and stored at a Google server in the U.S.A. Google may also transfer this information to its contractual partners. However, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data stored at Google.

You may prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser; however, if you do so, you may be unable to use all features of this website. By using this website you agree to the processing of the collected information by Google, for the above mentioned purpose.

Facebook Pixel

For conversion measurement our website uses the visitor action pixel by Facebook, Facebook Inc. 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).

This technique is used to track the behaviour of site visitors after they have been redirected to the provider website by clicking on a Facebook advertising ad. The outcomes can be used to evaluate the efficacy of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes, as well as optimising future advertising campaigns.

The collected data is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we are not in a position to draw conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook in such a manner that a connection to the respective user profile is possible, and Facebook is capable of using the data for its own advertising purposes according to the Facebook data usage guideline (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).

This allows Facebook to enable the display of advertisements both on the Facebook page as well as the third party pages. This data utilization cannot be influenced by us, as a website operator.

For more information on how to protect your privacy, refer to Facebooks‘ privacy policy under https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You may also deactivate the remarketing feature “Custom Audiences” in the settings for advertisements under https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged into Facebook to do so.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable Facebook’s action-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/

Bing Ads

This website uses Bing Ads, a program provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. Bing Ads places a cookie on your computer, if you were directed to our website via a Microsoft Bing Ad or another website of the Microsoft Bing advertising network. Thereby, Microsoft and we can recognise that someone has clicked an ad, was forwarded to our website and reached a certain landing page before (conversion page).  If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can reject the necessary placement of the cookie (’opt out’) – e.g. by browser settings preventing the automatic placement of cookies in general or via the settings on the following page: https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings/signedout?lang=en-GB. Further information about data protection and the cookies used by Microsoft Bing can be found on the Microsoft website:  https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-gb/privacystatement.
